 Mariager Højskoles årlige "Pionerpris" går i år til præsteparret Inger og Ruben Højer fra Viborg Internationale Pinsekirke. Prisen er på 10.000
kr. og gives for bemærkelsesværdigt
pionerarbejde og mod til at udføre en
banebrydende indsats, som kan være et eksempel for andre. Prisen blev uddelt fredag 17. juli under Pinsekirkernes SommerCamp i Mariager.
Skolens forstander Kent Jakobsen siger om Pionerprisen: »Mariager Højskole ønsker at inspirere
mennesker til at være helhjertede efterfølgere af Jesus, og udruste dem til at
præge deres verden gennem Guds kærlighed og kraft. Derfor er det en glæde med Pionerprisen at kunne opmuntre
dem, som lever denne drøm ud.«

New Teacher Assistant at DPBC |
 From 1st August 2009, Camilla Bojesen (20) will be employed
as Teacher Assistant at DPBC. She will teach on the electives Mission and
G-Next. Camilla has after first one year at Bible school in New Zealand just
completed Stream 2 at DPBC.
Working with an optimal balance
Camilla will mainly teach on electives Mission and G-Next as co-teacher. In
addition, she will have responsibility for the subject "life calling and
ministry" on Stream 1. Finally, Camilla, together with the other teachers,
also take on churchvisits, managing different events and have a day a week as
'on duty teacher' at the school.

Two days on bible college turned into two years |
 Torunn, Geir and their three children are in Bible College as a result of a life calling that has grown big. They have sold the house and boat, quit their jobs and comfortable Norwegian background to become missionaries in Africa. The whole process started 15 years ago.
»It all started when we met Bruno Knutzen (former principal at DPBC, Ed.) 15 years ago«, says Torunn and Geir.
»We talked with him because we’ve had a missional calling to Africa since childhood but were unsure of when we should go. The conversation left us considering attending bible college but it didn’t really got further, perhaps because the time just wasn’t right.«
But after 15 years God began to call again. There was a turmoil of thought and mind as if God wished that something would happen.
